Here's a story for Halloween: Beware The Ending!!

A woman's husband dies, and she goes to the

funeral parlor to view his remains.

Her husband is nicely laid out in a black suit.

She crys, and shakes her head.  The undertaker,

concerned that she is unhappy with his work, asks

what is the problem.

She says that her husband always wanted to be

buried in a blue suit, but that he only owned a

black one, and she didn't have enough money

for another.

The next day, she returns to find her husband

laid out in a blue suit!!  She asks the undertaker

what happened.  He says that another woman's

husband who also died, had always wanted to be buried in a black suit, but only had a blue one.

The woman was overjoyed; and then the undertaker added:

"After that, it was just a matter of switching the

heads."

Alfred Hitchcock Presents, the anthology show from the '50's. Had the episode where the wife (Barbara Bel Geddes) kills her cheating husband (Richard Kiley) with a frozen leg of lamb. She proceeds to cook the leg of lamb and feeds to the police who arrive at scene The husband was a police officer. The final scene shows the wife with a sardonic grin as the police in the background are at the kitchen table eating the lamb dinner while talking about the murder weapon. The term sacrificial lamb takes on new meaning.

Happy Halloween and beware of the sugar rush from your Halloween candy.

The Leg of Lamb Murder was the absolute perfect crime.  What a great show it was.  Thanx for a fun memory on Halloween.

I also remember that great Leg of Lamb episode! I loved the small paperback magazine of Hitchcock stories that my uncle use to get. Speaking of "UNCLE" I do enjoy watching NCIS and "DUCKY". Happy Halloween to all.

That was written by a famous author but I can't remember at the moment - It's someone like O.Henry maybe it is O.Henry . I remember reading it with a class and also seeing it acted out with a few other short stories.

Just a short comment ........ remember the old quiz show Name That Tune ? I think it was on Friday nights just after I had to be in. ( probably 9pm) The final tune at the end one night was the theme song from the Alfred Hitchcock show .... that da dum de dum dah dah dum de dum ...... i'm sure you all remember it..... very haunting ...... well of course we all ( i had a big family) scream at the t.v. the alfred Hitchcock theme song !!!! the contestant answers the theme song from Alfred Hitchcock ?   .............. wrong !!! The correct name which I felt was so great at the time ( and still do ) was/is "The Funeral March of the Marionettes "

This was a Good one! I really fell on the floor laughing!  The leg of lamb murder reminds me of what Hitchcock called the perfect murder.  Murder by Ice or Icicle.  You do your deed with the Icicle and when your done the evidence melts like eating the leg of Lamb.  But I think Leg of lamb is much tastier!
