This is very funny!  I like the part about the Ted Kennedy Toasting

and the Free Sadam Rally with Cindy Sheehan and Susan Sarandon

but I think Barbra Streisand and Hanoi Jane Fonda should also be included!

Maybe we need to expand the humor to include the 100 American soldiers who died in Iraq so far this month....   while we wait for the election cycle to be done so they can announce we are leaving.....

This is supposed to be humor!  Not bringing saddness or morbidity into the picture. Shame on you.

He would be a true political joke if he wasn't so ignorant, arrogant and anti-American.

Kerins,

As always you twist things like the Bushbots on bogus talk radio. Kerry's intended comments were distorted to a completely differ rent meaning from stating in essence that if you ignore your studies and are in effect ignorant, you end up making a war in Iraq like Bush to claiming soldiers in Iraq were there because they were poor scholars. Kerry flubbed a joke.....BUSH flubbed Peace and War....which is more important? Kerry apologized for messing up his own joke on Bush. Bush has yet to apologize or admit error on ANYTHING.
As I have stated before, if you REALLY cared about the TRUTH you would seek it instead of trying to deliberately distort it.
You are correct, the truth will set us free.........from those like you.

The rest of what I would say to you would be bleeped so I won't go any further.

Barry

The site had been quiet on the political front for quite some time. Guess it took our "in house" S.P. (secular progressive) to get things started by demeaning the latest member.

Hey Hyper-hater!

What exactly have I twisted?  I’ve said nothing about his comments at all, but merely posted a response from those serving. It seems you think you can read minds. Just as it seems you think you know what, “Kerry’s intended comments” were to have been.

Here is a link to Kerry saying what he said,

With his 35 year history of attacking the integrity of our forces the obvious interpretation of his comments seems right in character.

Where is the reference to the President, where’s any joke? Kerry said what he said. There is no distorting that. We have only your typical denial of the obvious reality.

Evidently only you and jfk see humor in Iraq

Incidentally, if you think Kerry isn’t endearing himself to today’s veterans why not go to Military.com and see what they are saying.

Pick any topic with Kerry’s name in it.

I like this one

You were referring to Bush I assume......

Or does Anti-American mean that you oppose: Illegal agression? Failure to arm and support soldiers in the field? Failure to support thier families at home? Torture? Suspension of Constitutional rights?

If ONLY this were true....Bushisms are endless...they reflect less bad judgement (usually he reserves that for his actions) than his incompetence in general.....
But his are almost NEVER taken to task for this by the american press....of course the world press roasts him and us all the time...for good reason.

A U.S. SENATOR IS TRAGICALLY HIT BY A TRUCK

While walking down the street one day a US senator is tragically hit by a truck and dies.

His soul arrives in heaven and is met by St. Peter at the entrance.

"Welcome to heaven," says St. Peter. "Before you settle in, it seems there is a problem.

We seldom see a high official around these parts, you see, so we're not sure what to do with you."

"No problem, just let me in," says the man.

"Well, I'd like to, but I have orders from higher up. What we'll do is have you spend one day in hell and one in heaven.

Then you can choose where to spend eternity."

"Really, I've made up my mind. I want to be in heaven," says the senator.

"I'm sorry, but we have our rules."

And with that, St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell.

The doors open and he finds himself in the middle of a green golf course.

In the distance is a clubhouse and standing in front of it are all his friends and other politicians who had worked with him.

Everyone is very happy and in evening dress. They run to greet him, shake his hand,

and reminisce about the good times they had while getting rich at the expense of the people.

They play a friendly game of golf and then dine on lobster, caviar and champagne.

Also present is the devil, who really is a very friendly guy who has a good time dancing and telling jokes.

They are having such a good time that before he realizes it, it is time to go.

Everyone gives him a hearty farewell and waves while the elevator rises...

The elevator goes up, up, up and the door reopens on heaven where St. Peter is waiting for him.

"Now it's time to visit heaven."

So, 24 hours pass with the senator joining a group of contented souls

moving from cloud to cloud, playing the harp and singing.

They have a good time and, before he realizes it, the 24 hours have gone by and St. Peter returns.

"Well, then, you've spent a day in hell and another in heaven. Now choose your eternity."

The senator reflects for a minute, then he answers: "Well, I would never have said it before,

I mean heaven has been delightful, but I think I would be better off in hell."

So St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell.

Now the doors of the elevator open and he's in the middle of a barren land covered with waste and garbage.

He sees all his friends, dressed in rags, picking up the trash and putting it in black bags as more trash falls from above.

The devil comes over to him and puts his arm around his shoulder.

"I don't understand," stammers the senator. "Yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and clubhouse,

and we ate lobster and caviar, drank champagne, and danced and had a great time.

Now there's just a wasteland full of garbage and my friends look miserable. What happened?"

The devil looks at him, smiles and says, "Yesterday we were campaigning...... Today you voted."

FOR THE FEW WHO DON'T KNOW: Red Skelton was a movie star and comedian on Television back in the 1950's. He created a number of characters and his Show was watched by millions. He did this on his show one evening, back when Shows were live.

Anyone, excuse me, any objective person, who listened to Kerry would easily realize that he was referring to Bush not the troops.

The ensuing nonsense is just a concerted effort by the incumbents to distract from their handling of the issues.  Given the election eve polls, that's no surprise.

For those of you who are buying the bologna, regardless of your political bent, don't you feel a little soiled when you've taken the bait?

I'm tired of being taken for a ride, regardless of the driver.
