Please pray for Doug Gensinger, MC '66. Doug had a bone marrow transplant for leukemia a few months ago, and was doing fine until this week. He is down with pneumonia, and in intensive care at Sloan-Kettering.

Thanks

I remember Doug on "The Miracle Worker" crew.  My prayers for him

go out to the true miracle worker.

I will definitely keep Doug in prayer and put his name in my church's prayer band on my way to services today. My church's prayer band meets every day from 7-8pm so we will certainly "storm" heaven on his behalf. I have definitely seen the power of prayer work miracles in many a lives.

Rich,

Tell Doug were all pulling for him, and we expect to see him at our 40th reunion next year.

Thanks to all for your prayers, whether or not you have replied explicitly. Doug is doing a little better. Because of the cancer treatment, his immune system and general constitution are not in good shape. This is likely to be a long road.

Dear Rich,

Have not been on the MC site for some time, and am hopeful Doug is doing better.  One often wonders how classmates are - after all, you, Doug and I spent 8 years together at St. Fidelis in College Point (oops, you transferred in in 4th grade?) - plus another 4 years at MCDHS - then onto Manhattan College. My brother, Matty, just celebrated his 25th anniversary as a priest, is Prof of Anatomy at NY Medical College and teaches at Sloan Kettering (neuroanatomy) - he's also rooting for Doug.  By the way, I'm in Cape Town, South Africa these days - back and forth between here and Philadelphia. (michaelpravetz@aol.com) - Keep the faith.  Michael

Doug had a relatively good day yesterday. The docs were able to do a procedure on his trachea that they had wanted to do for a few days. Please continue to pray for his recovery.

Rich,

I'm a latecomer here, but prayer is still welcomed, I'm sure.

Bro. Joe,

Yes, thank you. And thanks to all who are praying for Doug. He continues to improve slowly.

Merry Christmas to all.
