Write back to Qwhiteboy4life and ask who are they and what relationship they are to Rosemary.

Now why didn't I think of that?

I emailed Qwhiteboy4life@aol.com and also added him (?) to my IM list.  I also wrote to Rosemary at the last email address listed for her.

I am so sad to hear of Rosemary's death. I know when she was on line a year ago or so ,she said she was getting married again. She never mentioned that she was sick. She also said she was living in County Atrim in Northern Ireland. I asked her if she knew an English friend of mine, who I knew many years ago ,who had moved to County Antrim from England and she said ,"You won't believe this but I did his taxes." It is certainly a small world.

I hope this is not true ,but I can't imagine why anyone would make up something like that. That is sad news.

This is truly terrible, terrible news - Rosemary & I were classmates from sophmore thru senior years..funny for what is suppose to be the age & times of high drama & angst there are so many happy, happy memories.

After graduation, we had a line via the grapevine up until I heard she had moved back to Ireland, just as she had always said she would.   We lost touch but re-connected via this board in about 2000/01 i believe.  Rosemary certainly had a way with words, somewhere in the archives there is a story she wrote about returning to Greenpoint after so many years, as you read it you feel as if you with her every step of the way.

We corresponded via the board as well as privately ( if memory serves she was using a computer at her job at the time).  I was so happy for her when she was getting re-married after the sadness & tragedy of the death of her first husband.

We wrote for awhile after that & than stopped, no particular reason, just did.  I thought she had posted to the board again about another trip she was planning to the states about a year or so ago?   I cant remember reading anything within the recent past.  And while, like Pat, I would hope this isnt true (and cynical enough to believe someone could be that cruel to write such a thing) it does have an air of truth to it  : (

GOD BLESS YOU ROSEMARY, YOU WILL BE REMEMBERED ALWAYS WITH LOVE   K

I remember her mentioning she was moving back to Ireland a few years ago. I wish we could access the archives to reread some of the early postings we all made years ago. But I think they have long since deleted.

Rosemary was indeed living in Ireland. I received a note from her in Feb. 2005 sending her regrets for not being able to attend last April's drama reunion. She indicated that she was not able to attend because she was working on some accounting certification and made no mention of any illness.

Rosemary played viola in the MC Orchestra. I can't think of any reason why someone would announce this unless it were based in fact so I would tend to believe it is true.

I just finished IMing with Qwhiteboy4life.  He had no idea what I was talking about when I asked if he sent a message re: Rosemary but then said maybe his dad (MC'67) had used his email account.  He did remember his dad had been in touch with Rosemary before.  Unfortunately, it sounds like the email webguy received was legit.

Tony71, remember, this is the internet. There are some real "sicko's" out there. You can never be to careful in this medium.

Could a "sicko" be able to get past webguy and become a member of this website?

I just heard from the alumnus (MC '67) that sent webguy the email. He apologized for the confusion - he just wanted to get out the news asap about Rosemary.

The most difficult part of being GBL is removing an alumni from the Guest Book and I am sure for webguy adding the name to the Passings section.

Sad to hear about Rosemary.... I remember a few years ago we were e-mailing back and forth... When I was a "big shot Senior" way back in 1966, and  to me she was a "little baby Sophomore", she came to me and asked me if she could borrow the music to "Goldfinger" from the popular movie at that time... She needed it for some musical project that  she was working on....  When this Message Board came into existence, she recognized my name and e-mailed me to tell me  that she still had the music that she had borrowed so many years ago... This lead to several e-mails back and forth with me asking about how the churches in Ireland are doing with their music programs... She told me that they finally were building some  pretty good music programs and that lots of the older churches were trying to save their pipe organs and re-build them... In fact, the organ at the church she got married in had been recently re-built and she was happy that it was working for her wedding... It seems to me that eventually she had changed jobs and didn't have access to the Internet with the new job.. That's where we lost touch... I'm sorry to hear about her death... She was a very nice person to talk to, even way back when I thought of her as a "little baby Sophomore"....KJF'66.
