Dear Frankie,

Merry Christmas to the lovely Annette and beautiful and handsome

O Connor Kiddies!(Cristin, Allison and Ryan) The festivus pole was sent to John's sister in Florida - they laughed and wondered what is wrong with those two. Yours is in the mail.

John agrees he was before his time with the easel and he is surprised it has not caught on. What tree did u and Diane Gannon pilfer? I was not aware of a theft.

Tell Annette I found my hostess shirt that you and she bought for me many years ago - it still fits only it is very snug- I have not been able to locate John's ,but I did not throw it out- I don't throw anything out except the ripper - it's gone - please tell Annette I need more.

We still have the Harry Kissenger mask - Brian has worn it to many parties while in college and a few kids actually knew who it was. You do remember the mask I'm talking about ,don't you?

LLove,

Pat , John and Brian

PS - Where are you going tonight??????We are going to Queens but first a stop on your nephews block . Happy Festivus

Patti,

When you said that you might get a Festivus Pole for Gannon and me, I thought that was a reference to the stolen Christmas Tree incident.  I incorrectly guessed that you were confusing Diane with Jerry.  Well one Christmas Eve after somebody's party and then closing the Shannon Cafe, Diane and I stole a tree from a Christmas tree lot on Roosevelt Avenue and ran with it to my apartment. I'm sure, considering where we had been, it made lots of sense.

As for the hostess and host shirts -- please remind me -- what were they?

And finally, the Henry Kissinger mask ... yes, I remember it well.  Just one of several quite realistic full-head masks that John, Mooney, Bippy, Big Head, Barney, yourself and others thought would be appropriate to wear to my wedding.  We have plenty of pictures, (in one Kissinger is even giving me the finger!).  And later in the wedding there's a memorable shot of the bride dancing with her father while she's wearing a Nixon mask.  Probably a first for the Swan Club.

However, I more memorable moment was your slipping up to the piano and playing and singing "I've Just Seen a Face".

Oh Patti, were does it go?

Have a great Christmas!!!

Be good,

Santa's coming!

Dear Frank,

Remember when I first got married whenever I cooked I would sing" I'm in heaven, hostess heaven and blah blah blah" I forget the words . Well Annette bought us tee shirts that said- Hostess  and on his Host - they were blue - TELL ANNETTE I STILL HAVE IT She will remember .

I sang at your wedding? at a piano - there was a piano at your wedding ? Weren't the Mead Brothers the band at your wedding? They played" Love the one you're with" - Sean Lalor liked that song.

I'm not really sending you a Festivus Pole - It was a lie, sorry. I did send one to John's sister though and we got it from an alum of Mater Christi from this website(you know that though)

I just cooked a wonderful Christmas dinner for my dad and the boys - They are watching True Lies now.

Later,

Pat T

Patti,

For some strange reason I seem to have misplaced some memory cells. However, now that you and Annette remind me, I do remember the shirts.  Tuxes and bow ties, right?

As for the wedding, there were so many in succession, they mesh in my mind.  (Was it Bippy's?).

Just heard from Barney -- still single, still chasing girls, still living with mom, still carefree, still the envy of every other guy!

Our girls are both home, but only for sleeping, laundry and refilling their wallets.  Ryan is in a Russian, off season, fitness program for crew -- extremely strenuous.

Then it's back to the college admissions game.

Best to the guys,

FXOC

PS Alright we'll make our own damn Festivus pole.

Terry,

You're right on both counts.

But seriously, Barney's carved out a nice life for himself.

Takes care of his ailing mom, works hard, always positive and upbeat, great sense of humor, keeps himself in good shape with an ever youthful attitude.

Not a bad deal.

Marry Christmas!

Dear Frank,

What happened to Barney's detective girlfriend??? I thought he was living with her up in Pearl River near John Sullivan(Retired policeman now security/driver for a Mercedes president) and Bridgett Sullivan- John's wife.

Barney stays young with his Chestnut brown hair color #38and full head of hair.
