Greetings,

233 years ago today, the United States Marine Corps was founded, on November 10, 1775.

Happy Birthday to the Corps and to all the Marines who graduated from Mater Christi/St. John's Prep.

The above statements are made out of respect for those who took time out to defend all of us and is not made as a political statement in any way, just a thank you to Marines and to all Veterans everywhere.

Regards,
TommyK

I'd like to add my good wishes to the Marine Corp. on the anniversary of it's founding. I would also like to thank all of my fellow veterans for their service to our country. One thing to always keep sight of here, is that though we may disagree at times as to what is best for our country, our concern stems from love of our country.

Thank you to all our veterans and all those who are serving.

I went to Calverton National Cemetery on Friday to visit with my brother( US Navy - Vietnam)and uncle(US Army - WWII - Korea). Stopped at Long Island National on Sunday on my way back home to visit my dad (US Marine Corps - WWII - Korea), another uncle (US Army WWII and Korea) another uncle(US Army - WWII - Pearl Harbor survivor)and maternal grandfather (US Army - WWI).

I feel blessed to be a part of a family that served with pride and honor.

Semper Fi and God bless all.

Made sure to call my favorite Marine last night.  That would be my Dad, a receiver of the Purple Heart, courtesy of a Japanese machine gunner on Okinawa during WWII.
To all my fellow Veterans, myself of the U.S. Air Force, a great thank you for all you've done and continue to do.

Surprisingly this year I didn't read any announcement in my local Church Bulletin about a sponsored bus trip to Calverton National Cemetery.

Just my Father - Korea
Uncle - WW2
Aunt/GodMother - Wife and
various Cousins

My dad was in the 1st Marines - Carlson's Raiders - also saw action on Okinawa, Guadalcanal etc.   Wonder if they ever passed each other.
